San Bao

A futon is a Japanese traditionally made sleeping mat, made of cotton. It can be made in several different ways, so that you can use the futon for different purposes also. You can have a thicker futon to sleep on, instead of your traditional Western mattress or you can use a thinner version to massage on or be massaged.

Why cotton?

Cotton is a natural and vegetable source material which has specific regulating qualities, needed for a healthy sound sleep. A cotton mattress provides support and gives you a naturally airy feeling while sleeping.

A cotton cover to sleep under, will make you think you’re sleeping under an old fashioned woolen sheet.

A futon gives you the support of a sturdy mattress without the unpleasant sturdy feeling of it. You get the soft impression to be supported, a bit like making a cozy hole in the sand at the beach, to have a nap. The material is one-sided but the uses are endless.
